Mr. Kenneth Lee Bradford, 74, Jonesborough, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Lakebridge Health Care Center in Johnson City.
Mr. Bradford was a native of Yancy County N.C. but had lived in the limestone area for many years. He was the son of Kittie Silvers Bradford, Jonesborough and the late Frank Bradford. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a son Timothy Lee Bradford and former wife Louise Hammitt Bradford.
He was retired having worked as a supervisor for GM Fisher Body Manufactory in Flint Michigan and in later years as a truck driver for Richard Diel Trucking in Jonesborough. Mr. Bradford was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was a 1956 graduate of Larmar High School, a member of the Limestone Ruritan Club, a member of the Greenville Moose Lodge and a member of Community Baptist Church.
Survivors include seven brothers; J.C. Bradford, Georgia, Coy Bradford, Erwin, Jack Bradford, Rockford Ill., Dennis Bradford, Chucky, Jim Bradford, South Carolina, Michael Bradford, Jonesborough, Richard Bradford Johnson City, three sisters; Linda Wyatt, Johnson City, Volena Carver, Jonesborough, Wilma Jean Berqeron, Limestone, one Grandson; John Michael “Dusty” Bradford, Erwin, former wife Irene Casey Bradford, caregivers, sister Linda and Kenneth Wyatt and Jeffery and several nieces and nephews.
Services for Mr. Bradford will be a visitation from 12:30 till 2:00 pm Wednesday at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with graveside services at Washington County Memory Gardens Mausoleum following the visitation with Rev. Bill Ponder and Rev. Roy Yelton officiating.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Johnson City Medical Center and the staff of Lakebridge Health Care Center for their wonderful care of their brother.
