Rollin Bacon, Kingsport

KINGSPORT — Rollin M. Bacon, age 76, passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2011, while in the care of Dawn of Hope in Johnson City, TN.
Rollin was a special member of his family who was cared for and loved by a very dedicated mother, Lavada, who devoted most of her life to his care.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lavada Bacon; two sisters, Aileen Crum and Jackie Webb; and one brother, Kenneth Bacon.
Left to cherish his memory are three sisters, Ruth Barger, Patsy Cumbow and husband, Carl Cumbow, of Kingsport, and Gwen Clodfelter and husband, Howard, of Kennesaw, GA; one brother, Zerland Bacon and wife, Nancy, of Punta Gorda, FL; a brother-in-law, Art Webb, of Kingsport; a sister-in-law, Pat Bacon, of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside memorial service officiated by Rev. Phil Whittemore will be held on Monday, September 19th, 2011, at 2:00 PM at Fairview Cemetery, 878 Highway 81 North, Jonesborough, TN 37659. Nephews and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
The Bacon Family wishes to extend their thanks to all the caregivers and nurses at Dawn of Hope and Jackson House who cared for and loved Rollin as a brother.
