Wanda Owens, Limestone

Wanda Belle Owens, age 74, of Limestone, TN, a homemaker, died Wednesday afternoon, September 14, 2011, at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include three daughters: Cathy Nichols and Julie West, both of Johnson City, and Judy Smith, of Telford; three sons: Delmer Jr. and Teresa Owens, of New Market, David Owens and Willie Owens, both of Limestone; four granddaughters: Beth Owens, of Johnson City, Jennie Turbyfill, of Jonesborough, Ashley West, of Piney Flats, and Stephanie Arnett, of Telford; four grandsons: Dwayne and Heather Owens, of Johnson City, James Murray, of Jonesborough, Dale and Beth West, of Johnson City, and Terry and Heather Smith, of Telford; eleven great-grandchildren: Dakota Turbyfill, of Jonesborough, Malachi West and Isaiah West, both of Johnson City, Bryson West, of Piney Flats, Donna Turbyfill, of Jonesborough, Aiden West and Owen West, both of Johnson City, Aleyah Mitchell, of Piney Flats, Ethan Lee Arnett, of Telford, L.J. Mitchell, of Piney Flats, and Willow Rose Smith, of Telford; two sisters: Shirley Casey, of Jonesborough, and Helen Murray, of Johnson City; three brothers: Bill Brown, of Chuckey, John Brown and Jim Brown, both of Johnson City; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years: Delmer Owens, who died February 14, 2010; one son: Carl Lynn Owens; grandson: Michael Murray; great-grandson: Noah West; parents: Homer and Hazel Brown; one brother: Lee Brown.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Limestone F.W.B. Church Cemetery. Delmer Owens Jr. will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Dale West, Terry Smith, Eric Allen, Terry Coggins, Bobby Owens and Dwayne Owens.
