Finys ‘Mr. Penny’ Pennycuff, Elizabethton

ELIZABETHTON — Finys “Mr. Penny” Pennycuff, age 80 of Elizabethton, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at Johnson City Medical Center Hospital following a brief illness.
A native of Scott County, Tennessee, he was a son of the late Bradley L. and Bonnie Cooper Pennycuff. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Zelma Pennycuff, Elizabethton; daughter, Lois Oiler and husband, David, Jonesborough; two grandchildren, Annika Oiler and Makenna Oiler.
The funeral service for Mr. Pennycuff will be conducted at 8 PM, Thursday, September 15, 2011, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton.
The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Thursday from 6 PM until 8 PM prior to the funeral service.
The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 11 AM Friday, September 16, 2011, at George Mottern Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those who wish to attend the graveside service are ask to meet at the funeral home on Friday at 10:15 AM to go in procession to the cemetery.
