Viola Horner, Fayetteville, N.C.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Viola Kathleen Horner, 62, of Fayetteville, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2011, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
She was born December 19, 1948, in Greene County, TN.
She retired from the U.S. Army in 1988 and also from the V.A. Hospital in 2009. She was a member of College Lakes Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Audrey Brown; and a sister, Lenora Faye Dean.
She is survived by three sons, Donald Ray Horner and wife, Kelly, of Dunn, NC, Daryl J. Horner and fiancée, Kelly Edwards, of Wade, NC, David J. Page and wife, Kelly, of Autreyville, NC; two brothers, Ernest O. Brown and wife, Sharon, of Ohio, Kenneth W. Brown and wife, Donna, of Greeneville, TN; a sister, Teresa A. Jones and husband, Danny, of Telford, TN; two grandchildren, Chesnea and Christopher; several nieces and nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 14, 2011, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home on Ramsey Street in Fayetteville.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2011, at 10 a.m. in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery with the rendering of full military honors on Murchison Road in Spring Lake, NC, with Rev. Tim Medlin officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to College Lakes Baptist Church.
