Danny Keys, Johnson City

Danny G. Keys, 64, of the Harmony Community, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2011, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
A native of Spartanburg, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Robert and Dorothy Bishop Keys.
Mr. Keys was a United States Marine Corps veteran during the Vietnam War. He loved gospel music and gardening. Dan was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Rita V. Keys, Gray; two sons, Jason “Jake” Keys and John Keys; grandchildren, Kelsey, Mackensie, Peyton, Kiera, Natalee, Kayla, all of New Mexico, Lindsay and Nicholas Moody, Dillon Flanary, Johnson City, and Caleb Litz, Blountville; and five stepchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Keys will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 11, 2011, at Beulah Baptist Church, 491 Beulah Church Rd, Kingsport, TN 37663, with Pastor Al South officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM Saturday, September 10, 2011, at Tetrick Funeral & Cremation Services, Johnson City, with Military Honors concluding the visitation. Honorary Pallbearers are the members of Beulah Baptist Church.
