James P. Ray, Johnson City

James Paul “Rudy Trent” Ray, 55, 2107 E. Fairview Ave., Johnson City, died unexpectedly Friday, September 2, 2011, at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Rudy was a Johnson City native and a son of the late James Earl and Virginia Mae Nelson Ray.
He was formerly employed as a custodian with Ober Gatlinburg and E.T.S.U.
Rudy was also employed with the Washington County School System as a bus driver.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and a Baptist.
Rudy was an avid golfer and enjoyed riding motorcycles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Francis Hoilman Ray, and a brother, Larry Trent.
Rudy is survived by two brothers, Roger Trent and wife Sandra, Allen Trent and wife Lori, all of Johnson City; one sister, Shelby Wishon, Sevierville; step-daughter, Julie King; several step-grandchildren, including Cody, Logan and Dylan; several nieces and nephews.
It was Rudy’s wishes to be cremated. There will be no formal services. In-lieu-of flowers the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to assist with final expences. Memories and condolences may be shared at
