Dorothy Scholl, Johnson City

Dorothy Rhea Scholl, Johnson City, entered into rest, Wednesday, August 31, 2011, at NHC Healthcare.
Mrs. Scholl was a native of and lifelong resident of Johnson City.
She was a daughter of the late John Patterson Rhea and Alma Beatrice Haun Rhea.
Mrs. Scholl was also preceded in death by two brothers, Roger Rhea and Kenneth Rhea; and one son, John Scholl.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Johnson City, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, president of Women of the Church and a Circle Leader.
Mrs. Scholl enjoyed classical and easy listening music and was a member of the Junior League, Dilettante, the Sewing Club and Bridge Club.
She loved her family, traveling and spending time with her friends.
Mrs. Scholl leaves her husband, George K. Scholl; one daughter, Anne Elizabeth Scholl, Johnson City; one son, Ken Scholl Jr. and his wife, Mary Lou, of Charlotte, NC; granddaughter, Katherine Hoskins and husband, John, Charlotte, NC; great grandsons, William and Henry Hoskins, both of Charlotte, NC; grandson, Ken Scholl and wife, Kim, Wilson, NC; great grandson, George McGowan Scholl, and great granddaughter, Adeline Scholl, both of Wilson, NC.
A Memorial Service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, Johnson City, at 3:00 PM Sunday, September 4, 2011.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to First Presbyterian Church, Holston Room and Capital Campaign, 105 Boone Street, Johnson City, TN 37604.
