Cecil Conley Fair, Johnson City

Cecil Conley Fair, 79, 1510 Sylvan Drive, Johnson City, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2011, in Erwin at the home of his sister.
He was a native of Elizabethton and was a son of the late James John and Lucille Brown Fair.
Mr. Fair attended the Berea Freewill Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army and was a self-employed painter, carpenter, landscaper and worked on small engines.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shelby “Jewell” Jackson Fair, in 2002; two brothers, Roy L. and Earl Fair; also a granddaughter, Ashley Fair Williams.
Survivors include two sons, Cecil Conley Fair Jr., California, and James W. Fair, of Johnson City; two daughters, Pamela Fritz, of Bristol, and Tammy L. Rhoton, of Johnson City; a sister, Linda J. Hartley, of Erwin; a brother, Alfred Fair, of Elizabethton; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Mr. Fair will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 31, 2011, in the Woodall-Anderson and Dugger Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Stout officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the Boone Dam VFW Honor Guard. Active pallbearers will be Earl Fair Jr., Dennis W. Trinchera, Jeff Ward, Cheyenne Tuten, Anthony Gibson and Brandon Rhoton.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 12:00 until 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to the funeral home for help with funeral expenses.
