Melony Martin, Chuckey

CHUCKEY — Miss Melony Annette Martin, age 34, Chuckey, passed away Friday, August 26, 2011, at the Indian Path Medical Center.
Miss Martin was a native of Greene County and daughter of Walter G. “Gippy” & Kathy Stafford Martin, Limestone. Melony was well known for her beautiful smile and loving compassionate nature.
Melony was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jeff & Joy Martin and A.J. & Ruth Stafford; and an uncle, Terry Stafford.
She was a member of Philadelphia Presbyterian Church.
Melony graduated from Daniel Boone High School in 1999.
In addition to her parents, survivors include one brother and sister-in-law, Jeff & Kim Martin, Limestone; two nieces, Kelsey Martin and Kamryn Martin; aunts, Linda Painter (Jackie) and Connie Stafford; uncles, Eddy Martin (Helen), Tommy Martin (Lois) and Joe Martin (Gena); great-uncle, Freddie Squibb; special family friends, Bill and Mary Louise Broyles; and many cousins and a host of friends and pets too numerous to mention.
Graveside services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2011, at Philadelphia Cemetery with Pastor Robert Grimes officiating. Pallbearers will be Chris Martin, Michael Martin, Daniel Martin, Jakob Martin, Ralph Green and Bill Broyles.

The family would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to Dr. Muhammad Akmal at Takoma Regional Hospital and to Dr. Stanley Hodges at Indian Path Medical Center and all of the wonderful nurses that helped take such good care of Melony. Also, thanks to everyone for all of the wonderful prayers and thoughts extended during this extremely difficult time.
