Mary ‘Libbie’ Wilson, Kingsport

KINGSPORT — Mary Elizabeth “Libbie” Cansler Wilson, age 57, passed away after a courageous struggle with cancer, Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Holston Valley Community Hospital.
She was born in Washington County, TN on April 12, 1954 and was a daughter of the late Lewis Grant Cansler and Louise Painter Cansler Bailey.
Libbie was employed for 21 years as a shift services dispatcher with Eastman Co. and was a member of Fountain of Life Bible Church.
In addition to her father one brother, Denny Cansler, preceded her in death.
Libbie is survived by her husband, R.J. “Bob” Wilson; children, Shannon (Linda) Wilson of Kingsport, Sharron (Calvin) Snow of Reidville, SC, Danny Wilson, Lewis Wilson and Laura Wilson, all of Kingsport; mother and step-father, Louise and Jake Bailey of Johnson City; mother and father-in-law Ruby and Jack Wilson of Kingsport; one sister, Carol Ann Shull and special friend (Jerry Wilson); two brothers Victor (Kathy) Cansler of Chuckey, Mike (Jan) Cansler of Gray; seven grandchildren, Matthew Mullins, Brinnon Wilson, Brittany Wilson, Caitlin Wilson, Jenna Wilson, Noel Wilson and Sydney Wilson; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, and special friends of the Cancer Support Group of Holston Valley Hospital.
The family will receive friends Monday, August 22, 6-8 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with Dr. Vic Young officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Washington County Memory Gardens. The family requests everyone meet at the cemetery.
