Maude Clark, Hampton

HAMPTON — Maude Arnett Clark, 86, Hampton passed away Tuesday August 16, 2011 in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late John and Mamie Townsend Arnett. Mrs. Clark will be remembered as a number one cook and housekeeper. She attended Oak Hill Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years William Hensley Clark who died December 22, 2002 and by a brother: Eugene Anderson. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
Survivors include a daughter & son-in-law: Penny & Frank Bowers, Hampton. A beloved Grandson: Joshua Bowers, Hampton and his fiancée Jessica Shoun, Shady Valley. One Sister & brother-in-law: Virginia & Jason Honeycutt, Hampton. 5 nieces, 1 nephew, several cousins. A sister-in-law: Edith Clark, Kingsport and many friends.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Terry Jones, Rev. Carl Grindstaff and Rev. Richard Blevins officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Oak Hill Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. Music will be provided by Bob & Pat Ray.
Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Saturday will be: Frank Bowers, Joshua Bowers, Jason Honeycutt, Kelley Honeycutt, Landon Lingerfelt, Floyd Miller, Tim Miller and Zeke Tolley, Jr.
Honorary Pallbearers will be members of Oak Hill Free Will Baptist Church, nieces, nephews, cousins and Cecil Honeycutt.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at her residence.
