Donnie Dishman, Elizabethton

ELIZABETHTON — Mr. Donnie Lee Dishman “Wildman,” 58, of 228 Lovers Lane, Elizabethton, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2011 at the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital.
He was born in Newlondon, PA to the late Faye Dishman Church and the late Onnie William Dishman and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Dishman was an iron and metal worker and enjoyed motorcycle riding. He was a member of the Ghost Riders of Elizabethton.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ben Dishman and Richard Dishman; two sisters, Charlotte Barnett and Paula Dishman; one daughter, Crystal Gayle Dishman; one son, Shawn William Dishman; and one granddaughter, Pricilla Nickles.
Survivors include his longtime girlfriend, Betty Miller, Greeneville; four sisters, Laura Madron, Baltimore, MD; Mary Ann Watts, Pittsburgh, PA; Brenda Dishman, Elizabethton; Elaine Grice, Effingham, SC; three brothers, Billy Dishman, Westchester, PA; Anthony Dishman, Elizabethton; and Daryl Church, Johnson City; ex-wife, Pricilla Dishman, Johnson City; and one grandson, Lee Nickles, Johnson City. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service for Mr. Dishman will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Friday, August 19, 2011 in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Rev. Dean Presnell officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday prior to the service in the chapel or at the residence at other times.
The graveside service and interment and will be conducted on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Dunn Dishman Cemetery in Johnson County.
Active pallbearers will be Ron Puckett, Skip Arnett, Lee Nickles, Tony Whitehead, Michael Hardin, Daryl Church, Don Puckett and Dave Moody. Honorary pallbearers will be Woody Grice, Keith Church and Chris Dishman.
Those wishing to attend are asked to join the family at the funeral home at 9:00 AM Saturday to go in procession to the cemetery.
