Joseph Saylor, Jonesborough

Joseph (Joe) Lester Saylor, 28, 263 J.D. Fox Road, Jonesborough passed away unexpectedly Saturday, August 13, 2011 in Elizabethton.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. Mr. Saylor was a son of Willie and Linda Saylor Greene of Limestone. He worked in construction installing sheetrock. Mr. Saylor enjoyed all sports especially NASCAR.
He is preceded in death by two uncles, Bobby Sansom and Harold Saylor; also an aunt, Terrill Saylor.
Survivors in addition to his parents include two sons, Nathaniel and Dylan Saylor; a sister, Amanda Greene, Limestone; a step-brother, Jason Greene, Chesterfield, VA; maternal grandmother, Jean Saylor, Johnson City; maternal grandfather and step-grandmother, Lester Saylor and his wife, Bea, Johnson City; paternal grandmother, Sue Greene, Chesterfield, VA; paternal grandfather, Bill Greene, Johnson City; a special aunt, Pamela Sansom, Jonesborough; aunts and uncles, Sharon Orton and her husband, Ken, Mary Orton and her husband, Toby, Julie Byrd and her husband, Kenneth all of Johnson City, Donnie Saylor and his wife, Gwen, Kingsport, Pam Casey, Chesterfield, VA and Kim Lewis of Hopewell, VA; special cousins, Amy and Jaiden Saylor, Jonesborough and T.J. Orton; also several cousins.
Funeral services for Mr. Saylor will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, August 19, 2011 in the Calvary Baptist Church, Hart Avenue, Johnson City with Pastor James Chatman officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Hwy 81, Jonesborough.
Pallbearers will be T.J. Orton, James Saylor, Kenny Byrd, Jordon Dugger, Chuck Price and Billy Walls. Honorary Pallbearer will be Jason Sansom.
The family will receive friends at the church Friday from 12:30 PM until service time. And other times at the home of his grandmother, 112 Dyer Street, Johnson City.
