Beverly Rigsby, Gray

Beverly Sue Rigsby, age 67, of Gray passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Indian Path Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
She was a daughter of the late Bill and Ada Overbay. Mrs. Rigsby was born in Sullivan County but had spent most of her life in Washington County. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Aubrey Marlena Rigsby; two sisters, Betty Collins and Barbara Ann Stalcup; one brother, Billy Overbay. Sue was a Christian and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, Charles “Roy” Rigsby; one daughter and son-in-law, Rena and Keith Hanson of Colonial Heights; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and April Rigsby of Rock Springs; three grandchildren, Brittany Hanson, Dillon Rigsby, and Cheyenne Rigsby; one sister, Diane Ferguson; two brothers, James Overbay and Bobby Overbay; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends Thursday, August 18, 5 – 7 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel with services to follow and Rev. Chuck Grimm will officiate. It was the wishes of Mrs. Rigsby to be cremated.
