Peggy Meade, Kingsport

KINGSPORT — Peggy Jane Fugate Meade, 57, of Kingsport passed away at her home on Sunday night (August 14, 2011) due to an apparent heart attack.
She resided the majority of her life in Hiltons, Virginia. Peggy, a registered nurse, retired from the Scott County Health Department. She attended Midway Baptist Church and was loving and helpful to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wako and Jane Fugate; an uncle, Charles Hart.
Peggy Fugate Meade is survived by her brother, Mike Fugate (Jonesborough, TN); aunts, Janett Hart and Ruth Fugate (both of Hiltons, VA); several cousins along with many special friends and her special little companion, “Scooter.”
Calling hours will be held on Thursday (August 18, 2011) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday (August 18, 2011) at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. George Willis officiating. Music will be provided by the Bowlin family singers.
A graveside service will be conducted on Friday (August 19, 2011) at 2 p.m. at Holston View Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Family and friends attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:15 p.m. to go in procession.
