Teresa Ann Halman, Johnson City

Teresa Ann Halman, 52, 508 Crest Court, Johnson City passed away Saturday, August 13, 2011 in the Johnson City Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City and was a daughter of the late Jesse and Birdie Smith Halman. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Halman and a sister, Tammy Rosenbaum.
Survivors include a son, Jeremiah Whitaker and his wife, Marcia of Johnson City; a brother, Jimmy Halman and his wife, Janice, Johnson City; two sisters, Diane Wilson and her husband, Johnny, Johnson City and Juanita Messer and her husband, Roy of Gray; three grandchildren, Angel, Joshua and Aden Whitaker; also several nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Johnny Junior Wilson.
A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, August 17, 2011 in the Mosely Cemetery, Unicoi with Rev. Harold McNabb officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 2:00 PM then proceed to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
A memorial service for Teresa will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Greenwood Baptist Church, 102 Elliott and Scott Circle, Johnson City.
