Carol Cloyd, Johnson City

Carol Ann Sparks Cloyd, 43, Johnson City went home to be with her Lord Saturday August 13, 2011 after a lengthy illness.
She was a Carter County native. Carol was a 1986 graduate of Happy Valley High School. She was also a graduate of East Tennessee State University with a degree in Nursing. She had worked on her Master’s Degree. Carol had worked at several local hospitals. She was a member of the Crossroad Christian Church, Gray. Her favorite thing in life was caring for other people. She was preceded in death by her father Phillip Carroll Sparks in 1975.
Survivors include her husband: Mark Cloyd. Three Sons: James Chantz Scott and wife Hollie Beth, Darren Todd Scott and wife Courtney and Marc Anthony Cloyd all of Johnson City. Three Grandchildren: Kinzton Chanley Scott, Aiden James Clark and Darren Brennan Scott. Her Mother: Patricia Sparks, Johnson City. Two Sisters: Cindy Sparks Christian and husband Brian, Bluff City and Cathey Sparks, Johnson City. Two Brothers: Phillip Sparks, Elizabethton and Billy Sparks and wife Lisa, Johnson City. Several Nieces & Nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Clint Andrews, Minister officiating.
Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Washington County Memory Gardens. Active Pallbearers will be: James Chantz Scott, Darren Todd Scott, Marc Anthony Cloyd, Billy Sparks, Phillip Sparks and Brian Christian. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of her mother Patricia Sparks, 109 Monument Court, Johnson City. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday.
