Matthew B. Tucker, Johnson City

Matthew B. Tucker, 65, of Johnson City, died Sunday, August 7, 2011, in the Johnson City Medical Center.
He was a native of Brownsville, TN, and a son of Jean Smith Tucker, of Johnson City, and the late Matthew Tucker. Mr. Tucker was also preceded in death by a brother, Michael Tucker; and a sister, Nancy Ann Tucker Sanders.
Mr. Tucker was a member Central Baptist Church. He was a Vietnam Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. He was also a member of the Johnson City VFW and American Legion.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include: one daughter, Allison Tucker Reinhardt and her husband, Paul, of Jonesborough; two brothers, Walter “Rick” Tucker, of Wytheville, VA, and Robert “Tommy” Tucker, of Ada, MI; one Granddaughter, Tiffany Reinhardt; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2011, in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Julia Tucker Lloyd will officiate.
Burial will be in the Mt. Home National Cemetery on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. A procession will leave the funeral home for the cemetery at 9:30 a.m. Thursday.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday.
