GREENEVILLE — Mary Ruth Foreman, of Greeneville, died Wednesday afternoon, August 3, 2011, at her home due to a lengthy illness.
She retired from the Social Security Administration after 36 years of service. She has spent the last 8 years of her life doing volunteer work at Nolachuckey Elementary School.
She was a member of Cedar Creek Church of God, where she faithfully attended until her health would not permit it.
Survivors include: husband: Lyle Foreman; son: Scott Aldridge, of Greeneville; grandson: Nicholas Aldridge, of Greeneville; stepson: Mark Foreman and wife, Haley, of Kalispell, Montana; three step grandchildren: Kirsten, Emma, and Samuel Foreman, of Kalispell, Montana; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Bobbie and Nick Partee, of Clarkston, Washington, and Marjorie and David Kipps, of Vienna, Virginia; two special friends: David and Brenda Whisnant, of Jonesborough; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
She was the daughter of the late Phillip and Belle Brooks and was preceded in death by a brother, Wade Brooks; and two sisters, Francis Miller and Carolyn Bish.
Funeral services will be held t 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2011, at Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel.
Interment will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Pastor Darrell Allen and Pastor Brice Casey will officiate. Pallbearers will be: David Whisnant, Robert Foreman, Danny Foreman, Travis Hoxie, Dennis Brooks and Bob Hartman.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Friday preceding the funeral service at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Family and friends are asked to meet at 9:45 a.m. Saturday at the cemetery for the committal service.
