Priscilla Wilson, Barboursville, Va.

BARBOURSVILLE, Va. — Priscilla Light Wilson, 70, Barboursville, died Saturday, July 30, 2011, at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
Priscilla was born December 10, 1940, in Johnson City, Tennessee, and was the daughter of the late Ernest Paul Light and Etta Sue Onks Light.
She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Priscilla, known for her smile, was a kind and gentle soul who touched many lives. She mentored many and found fulfillment in others’ successes. She was inspired by beauty and loved to walk through the woods on her farm, enjoy flowers, quilt beautiful colors, and dig on her knees in her garden.
She was an avid reader and found peace in her spiritual studies and devotions. She was generous in sharing her spirit with all. It was her wisdom that was so dearly loved and while not sorry to go, she was sorry to leave so many friends, family, dreams and hopes.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Wilford P. “Bud” Light.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Van Wilson, Barboursville; one daughter, Piper W. Spohr and husband, Clifford, of Jacksonville, FL; one son, Dirk Wilson, Barboursville; nephew, Christopher Webster, Santa Fe, NM; one brother, Bob Light and wife, Dianne, of Columbia, SC; one brother-in-law, Alan Wilson and wife, Ingrid, of Jonesborough, TN; one grandson, Caden Spohr, Jacksonville, FL; several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
A Memorial Service for Priscilla Lee Wilson will be conducted at 2 PM Saturday, August 6, 2011, in the Hill and Wood Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at Hill and Wood Funeral Home, Charlottesville, from 1-2 PM prior to the service.
