Charles Hill Bireley, Gray

Charles Hill Bireley, 61, of Gray, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2011 at his residence.
Born in Johnson City, he was the son of the late Edward and Katherine Hawkins Bireley.
Mr. Bireley proudly served his country in the US Army in Korea.
He is survived by his wife of twenty eight years: Linda Ernst Bireley.
A Celebration of Life service for Charles Hill Bireley will be held at Tetrick Funeral Services beginning at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 with Mr. G. Clinton Andrews, Minister officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until time of the service.
A Graveside and Committal service with full military honors will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 4, 2011 in Mountain Home National Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be chosen from family and friends. Everyone is asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:30 AM to go in procession to the cemetery.
As one of the characters in his favorite television show, Star Trek, would say “He’s dead, Jim.”
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Amedisys Home Health 629 S. Sycamore Street Elizabethton, TN 37643.
