Geneva Davison, Blountville

BLOUNTVILLE — Ms. Geneva Ruth Sifford Davison, 79, Blountville, went to be with her Lord on Friday, July 22, 2011, at Greystone Health Care Center.
She was a native of Washington County and daughter of the late Joseph & Kate Archer Sifford. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Markie Davison; one brother, J.D. Sifford; and one sister, Elizabeth Davison.
Ms. Davison was of the Baptist faith and attended Christian Fellowship of Blountville. She was truly devoted and an angel of God.
She retired from Holston Valley Medical Center as a secretary.
Ms. Davison enjoyed baking and was known as “The Bread Lady.”
Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Coomer, Jonesborough; one son, Robert Davison, Kingsport; three grandchildren, Chris, Tracy and Thomas; great-grandchildren, Bailey, Faithe, Andrew, Colton and Ivy; one sister, Kathleen Beaver; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2011, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Beaver officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Interment services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at Washington County Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
