Jack Fagans, Johnson City

Jack Fagans, age 68, of 605 Carter Sells Rd., Johnson City, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at his residence following a brief illness.
A native of Piney Flats, he was a son of the late Charlie and Mary Lou Hyatt Fagans. Mr. Fagans enjoyed going fishing and loved camping. He was a loving family man and was a good husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. Fagans is preceded in death by three brothers, Vernan, Charles and Howard Fagans; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Fagans, of the home; four sons, Gary Fagans, Elizabethton, Timothy Fagans and wife, Tonia, Johnson City, Robert Fagans and wife, Angel, Johnson City, Kenneth Fagans and wife, Angel, Memphis, TN; three stepsons, James Laws and wife, Angie, Johnson City, Marvin Laws and wife, Debbie, Grundy, VA, Brian Mosher and wife, Patricia, Elizabethton; four stepdaughters, Anna Laws and Roger, Johnson City, Shirley Whited and husband, Craig, Johnson City, Debra Roark and husband, Billy, Elizabethton, Beth Mosher, Elizabethton; three sisters, Ruby Berkley, Thomasville, NC, Wanda Nelson, Bristol, TN, Athena Kitchin, St. Augustine, FL; one brother, Earl Fagans and wife, Edith, Blountville, TN; previous wife, Reva Hicks, Johnson City. Twenty nine Grandchildren, Several Great Grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service for Mr. Fagans will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, July 21, 2011, in the chapel of Woodall-Anderson & Dugger Funeral Home with Dr. Clyde Beard officiating.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
