George Cecil Orren, Johnson City

Mr. George Cecil Orren, 87, of 915 Pine Grove Ave., died Monday, July 18, 2011, at his home.
A native of Johnson City, he was the son of the late Robert and Pearl Campbell Orren. Mr. Orren was a dealer representative with Volunteer Oil for 47 years. He was also a member of East Pine Grove Park United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents; he is preceded in death by his wife, Martha Pauline Orren; three sisters, an infant sister Pauline Orren, Mildred Louise Durham, and Gladys Honeycutt; and six brothers, W. H., Albert “Dud”, Robert, Elmer, James, and Vernon F. Orren.
He is survived by his daughter, Guilda Orren; son, George “ Tommy” Orren; grandson, David Orren; former daughter-in-law, Patsy Orren, all of Johnson City, sister, Carolyn Orren Tipton of Piney Flats; brother, Robert E. Orren of Washington, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends, Wednesday, July 20, 2011, from 11-1 pm, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home.
Services will be held, Wednesday, July 20, 2011, 1:00pm, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home, South Chapel.
Burial will immediately follow in Monte Vista Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to East Pine Grove Park United Methodist Church, 2215 E. Unaka Ave.
