Harry Hauk, Jonesborough

Mr. Harry W. “Bill” Hauk, 78, Jonesborough passed away Sunday, July 17, 2011 at the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital.
He was a native of Altoona, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Rev. Charles W. and Mary Lohr Hauk. He was also preceded in death by one brother Charles H. Hauk.
Mr. Hauk graduated from West Virginia University. He served his country as a staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force serving in the Korean War. He worked for the Dept. of Justice serving in the Bureau of Prisons and the U.S. Marshall’s before retiring after 24 years of service. He attended the First Christian Church and was a former member of the Elks Club.
Survivors include his loving wife Donna Parks Hauk of the home, three daughters; Carol Green, Fort Worth Texas, Nancy Hoel and husband K J, Waynesfield Ohio, Susan Goodwin, Holliday Texas, one son Stephen Hauk, Bethesda Maryland, four Grandchildren, Kyle Hoel, Samantha Goodwin, Dillon Hoel, James Goodwin, two sisters-in law, Dolores and husband George Dobrovich, Wendy and husband Bill Bell and an Aunt and several Uncles.
A Memorial service for Mr. Hauk will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 2 pm at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home, with Chaplin Woody Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm prior to the service.
