Michael ‘Tony’ Dolan, Elizabethton

Michael “Tony” Dolan, age 53, of Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2011 in the Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness.
Mr. Dolan was a native of Dayton, Ohio, and had lived the past 10 years in Carter County. He was a son of the late Jack R. and Blanche Nave Dolan.
Mr. Dolan was employed with R.R. Donnelly Co. He was a member of Dayton Baptist Temple, Dayton, Ohio, and attended True Gospel Baptist Church in Carter County. He was an avid fisherman and loved playing the guitar.
In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by a nephew, Sean Dolan. He is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill E. and Margaret Dolan, Elizabethton, and Jack and Carol Dolan, Dayton, Ohio; an uncle, Harold Nave, Elizabethton; two aunts, Mary Nave, Elizabethton, and Vorita Hodge, Plain City, Ohio; and a special friend, Wendy Lipe, Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A funeral service for Michael “Tony” Dolan will be conducted at 8:00 PM, Tuesday, July 19, 2011 in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Rev. Dean Presnell and Rev. Sherrel Nave officiating. Music will be under the direction of the True Gospel Baptist Church Trio. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home or at the home of his brother, Bill Dolan, 202 Appletree Lane, Elizabethton, other times. Private disposition will be held at a later date. Honorary pallbearers are Steve Keszthelzi, employees of R.R. Donnelly Co., and the special nurses of the 2800 wing at the Johnson City Medical Center.
