William ‘Bill’ Phillips, Johnson City

William “Bill” Phillips, 81, of Johnson City, passed away at his residence on Thursday, July 13, 2011.
He was a native of Mitchell County, NC, and a son of the late Willlard O. and Mae Hughes Phillips.
Bill was a job Superintendent with J.I. Cornett Construction Co.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Sue Philips; one daughter, Kathy Parrott and her husband, Mike, of Johnson City; one son, Jeff Phillips and his wife, Robyn, of Johnson City; one sister, Kathleen Minga, of Johnson City; two Grand daughters, Madison and Morgan Phillips; and two Grandsons, William and Mitchell Parrott.
Graveside services will be conducted Sunday, July 17, 2011, at 3:30 p.m. from Roselawn Memory Gardens. Rev. Delbert Storie will officiate.
Burial will follow the service. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. Sunday.
