Annette Glass, Kingsport

KINGSPORT — Annette Sexton Glass experiences a “Home Going” on Thursday, July 14, 2011, at Bristol Regional Medical Center, Bristol, TN.
A “Celebration of Her Life” will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2011, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport, with Pastor Richard A. Hilton, officiating.
Burial will follow in Logan Chapel Methodist Cemetery, Fall Branch, TN. Pallbearers will be family and close friends.
Annette was born in Kingsport and has resided here most of her life and was a 1969 graduate of Ketron High School in Kingsport. She was most recently employed by Kingsport Housing and Development Authority, where she served as Property Manager. She was a member of Calvary Church, Gray.
She was preceded in death by both her parents, Roy Herbert Sexton, in 1985; and her mother, Anna Belle Jones Sexton, in 1983.
Annette leaves behind a very loving family consisting of two wonderful sons, Gregory Edward Glass & his wife, Kristy, and their three beautiful daughters, Abbey, Madison and Morgan, of Gate City, VA; and her son, Kelly Ray Glass and his fiancé, Wendy Thompson, of Eastern Star Community. She is also survived by three brothers, Roy K. Sexton, his wife, Sue Morgan Sexton, Travis Lee Sexton and his wife, Doris Cobb Sexton, and Gary Wayne Sexton, all of Kingsport; one sister, Deborah Sexton Cox and her husband, Anthony, of Lebanon, Indiana. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2011, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport.
In lieu of flowers or memorial donations, Annette has requested that those who would like to honor her, purchase sustainable plants or trees and plant those in their yards or other areas so that each time they see them, they will serve as a reminder of her and the life she chose to live during her time on Earth.
