Ramona Gobble, Mountain City

MOUNTAIN CITY — Ramona Gobble, age 79, of 1144 Circle Drive, Mountain City, TN, passed away Monday, July 11, 2011, at Franklin Woods Community Hospital in Johnson City, TN, after an extended illness.
She was the daughter of the late Henry Holtschneider and Nellie Murphy Holtschneider. Ramona was a member of First United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included flowers, reading and she loved the beach.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Harriett Humphrey; and two brothers: Blair and Doug Holtschneider.
Survivors include: her husband, Paul Gobble, of the home; two daughters: Karen Ward, of Mountain City, TN, and Nelle Church and husband Daryl of Johnson City, TN; three sons: Sam Gobble and wife, Donna, of Mountain City, TN; Richard Gobble, Jonathan Gobble and wife, Teresa, all of Johnson City, TN; one sister: Maxine Morgan, of Baltimore, MD; one brother: David Holtschneider, of Baltimore, MD; five grandchildren: Bill and Mark Ward, of Mountain City, TN, Ashleigh and Daniel Gobble and Chase Church, all of Johnson City, TN; special friend: Pia Steinhauser, of Mountain City, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Ramona Gobble will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2011, from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with First United Methodist Minister officiating.
The family will receive friends Friday, July 15, 2011, from 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. from Hux-Lipford Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park following the funeral service. Active pallbearers will be Sam Gobble, Jonathan Gobble, Darrell Church, Billy Ward, Mark Ward and Daniel Gobble. Honorary pallbearer will be Richard Gobble.
