Shawn Dugger, Johnson City

Shawn Jason Dugger, 37, 111 Park Court, Johnson City, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2011, from injuries sustained in an auto accident.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City and was a son of Gary and Gwen Layne Dugger, of Johnson City. Shawn was a graduate of Happy Valley High School and attended Berea Freewill Baptist Church in Johnson City.
He loved to travel and loved the ocean and he lived life to the fullest.
Shawn is preceded in death by a brother, Brad Dugger; his maternal grandparents, James and Dorothy Layne; and his paternal grandfather, J.D. Dugger.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Danielle Dickerson Dugger; a son, Gage Orion Dugger, of the home; three step-daughters, Mackenzie, Jerri and Gia Hickman; a brother, Rusty Dugger, of Bluff City; his paternal grandmother, Beulah Dugger, Johnson City, and a niece, Macie Dugger.
A memorial service will be conducted at 8:00 PM Friday, July 15, 2011, in the Berea Free Will Baptist Church, 2415 Sinking Creek Road, Johnson City, with Pastor Jerry Stout officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church Friday from 6:00 PM until service time.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rusty Dugger, Brian Glover, Steve Dorsey, Johnny Campbell, Dave Taylor and Mark Jones.
