Retha Mitchell, Johnson City

Ms. Retha Lily Roena Hill Mitchell, age 77, Johnson City, passed away Monday, July 11, 2011 at Johnson City Medical Center.
Ms. Mitchell was a native of Washington County and daughter of the late William Monroe & Sallie Kyte Hill. In addition to her parents, Ms. Mitchell was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ward Hill and Lonnie Hill, and one sister Rose Terry.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Ms. Mitchell retired from Tennessee Human Resource Agency.
Survivors include one son, Michael David Mitchell, Telford; one daughter, Anna Penelope “Penny” Ruble, East Bend, NC; grandchildren, Caroline Ruble and Emily Ruble; niece, Cindy Adams; a nephew, Mark Terry, and a special friend Clarence Caldwell.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:30 pm Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Chaplain Dwight MacPherson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 pm Wednesday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 10:00 am Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Onks Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
The family wanted to extend a special thank you to the staff of Lakebridge Health Care Center and the 5500 unit of JCMCH for the love and care given to their mother.
