Dillard Kinley, Jonesborough

Mr. Dillard F. Kinley, age 83, Jonesborough, passed away Monday, July 4, 2011, at James H. Quillen VA Medical Center.
Mr. Kinley was a native of Washington County and son of the late Robert & Beulah Crawford Kinley.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Kinley was also preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Christine “Toots” Kinley; a son, Chuck Kinley; five sisters, Edna Dunn, Madeline France, Beulah Hampton, Mattie Chambers and Bertha Francis; and a brother, Ralph Kinley.
He was a Home Builder and founder of K. & K. Construction Company.
Mr. Kinley was a United States Army Veteran.
He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Danny & Kathy Kinley and David & Mary Kinley, all of Jonesborough; one daughter and son-in-law, Robin & Eddie Edwards, Piney Flats; one sister, Helen Conley; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Veterans Administration Community Living Center, especially the 1st floor nurses and hospice caregivers.
Funeral services will be conducted at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Minister Jim Mathes officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2011, at Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tony Chase, Scott Conley, Pete Hayner, Jack Roberts, Chuck Crawford and Chad Crawford. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Ellis, Bob Ellis, Bill Hicks, Bill Hicks Jr. and Maynard Barry.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Research Center, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
