James Robert ‘Jim’ Huskins, Bluff City

James Robert “Jim” Huskins, age 55, of Bluff City, TN passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2011 at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Erwin, TN and had been a resident of Bluff City for 26 years. He earned his B.S. degree from ETSU and was employed by Dr. Reddy’s Labs formerly GlaxoSmithKline. Jim was a member of Avoca Christian Church. He enjoyed golfing, all types of music and sports, and traveling with his group of special friends. His most proud accomplishment was his two daughters. He was preceded in death by his father James Herman Huskins.
Survivors include: Wife – Donna Lemmon Huskins; Daughters – Heather Ashley Huskins and Hanna April Huskins; Mother – Barbara Jean Huskins; Brother – Jeff Huskins; Special Nephew – Austin Huskins; Mother-in-law – Lois Lemmon; Brother-in-law – Wayne Lemmon; Several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins; His special group of friends – Arigle and Debbie Jenkins and Darrell and Linda Proffitt.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at 7 pm at Avoca Christian Church with Minister Bob Robinson officiating.
Committal service will be on Wednesday at 10 am at Glenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers include: Arigle Jenkins, Darrell Proffitt, James Bowman, Stephen Jones, Keith Sholes, and Russ Peters. Honorary pallbearers will be his Sunday School Class at Avoca Christian Church.
The family would like to express their appreciation for the love and support shown by his co-workers, neighbors and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Avoca Christian Church at 2417 Volunteer Parkway, Bristol, TN. or to the Children’s Charity of your choice.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:30 to 7 pm prior to the service.
