Cathy Lane, Fall Branch

Cathy Charlton Campbell Lane, 60, of Fall Branch, passed away suddenly on Friday morning (July 1, 2011) after a brief battle with ovarian cancer.
Cathy was born in Sullivan County, TN, and is preceded in death by her parents, John T. and Georgia Burkhardt Charlton, of Sullivan Gardens.
Cathy was a graduate of Sullivan High School and attended East Tennessee State University.
Cathy was a Christian and a member of Sullivan Baptist Church. Cathy was a very loving mother, grandmother, and aunt and loved her family very much. She loved to cook, work in flowers and take her mom to play golf.
Survivors include her son, Daniel “Danny” B. Campbell III, and grandson, Daniel Burns Campbell IV, of Unicoi, TN. Cathy is also survived by 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, John D. and Marilyn G. Charlton, David S. and Barbara A. Charlton and Phillip and Judy F. Charlton; 3 nieces, Sandy C. Ward, Joy C. Martin and Toni C. Manship; 3 nephews, Johnny Charlton, Nicholas Charlton and David Charlton, and many very close friends.
The family would like to express appreciation to Doug and Mickii Carter for their support and kindness welcoming Cathy into their home during this stressful time.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 8, 2011, at the home of Doug and Mickii Carter (732 Harbor Point Drive, Johnson City, TN 37615).
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Cathy Lane may be sent to the American Cancer Society ( to aid in the fight against ovarian and breast cancers.
