Johnson City and Kingsport residents arrested on drug charges after traffic stop

After Johnson City police pulled over a vehicle for failing to yield at the intersection of Boone Street and West Main Street, officers, with the aid of K-9 units, discovered narcotics and drug paraphernalia inside the auto, police said in a news release. 

On Friday, Christopher Antone, 29, 203 W Main St., Johnson City, was charged with failure to yield, driving on revoked/multiple, unlawful drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine possessing/delivery/sell/manufacture and simple possession/casual exchange. 

Holly Frye, 39, 606 Countryshire Court, Kingsport, who was also in the car, was charged with unlawful drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine possessing/delivery/sell/manufacture and simple possession. 

This is not Antone or Frye’s first stay at the Washington County Detention Center. Antone had been charged with robbery, two different counts of aggravated assault and criminal trespassing. Frye’s charges included shoplifting, simple possession of schedule ll drugs and worthless checks over $1,000.

Antone and Frye were held in the Washington County Detention Center on $12,000 bond each with appearances set for Monday in Sessions Court.
