Johnson City police arrested a man Wednesday after an auto burglary investigation.

On Feb. 23, officers went to 141 E. Market St., where a man reported his wallet had been stolen from his vehicle. Hours later, police said the victim called back and said his stolen debit card had been used at several locations in Johnson City.

David Vaughn, 44, 123 W. Millard St., was identified as the person using the stolen debit card soon after the auto burglary, according to police.

Vaughn was charged with auto burglary, theft under $1,000 and fraudulent use of a credit card under $1,000. He was held in the Washington County Detention Center on $7,000 bond awaiting an appearance in Sessions Court Friday.
