Johnson City police arrest woman on charges including credit card fraud

Johnson City police arrested a woman Wednesday after receiving a report about a stolen credit card. 

Police said Destiny Jean Hopkins, 19, 10 Regency Square, stole a wallet out of a car at 620 Pine St. and used one of the credit cards it contained at Ross department store, 3211 Peoples St., later that morning.

During the course of the investigation, police said they also discovered Hopkins had an underage accomplice.

Hopkins was charged with auto burglary, theft under $1,000, credit card fraud under $1,000, identity theft and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. She was held in the Washington County Detention Center on $20,000 bond awaiting a Sessions Court appearance set for Thursday.
