On Thursday, Johnson City police arrested a man on multiple charges after initially pulling him over for a light law violation.

After making the traffic stop, police said they discovered Willie Caffey, 58, 902 N. Barton St., was driving on a suspended license. After further investigation, police said they also found a crack pipe. As police continued to search the car, they reported finding a white substance, which appeared to be crack cocaine. Police said they then discovered 15 pills, they believed to be hydrocodone.

Caffey was arrested and charged with a light law violation, driving on a revoked license, unlawful drug paraphernalia, simple possession and possession of a schedule II controlled substance.

Caffey was held in the Washington County Detention Center on $13,000 bond awaiting a Sessions Court appearance set for Thursday.
