A Knoxville youth league football referee has been charged with aggravated assault after pulling a pocket knife during an argument with a coach at a game over the weekend, according to court records.

Arnold Jay Davis III, 50, was arrested shortly after 2 p.m. Saturday outside the game at Central High School following a confrontation with Fulton Falcons youth coach Antonio R. Hamilton, an arrest warrant states.

Davis had kicked Hamilton out of the game for causing a disturbance, and declared the game a forfeiture.
