A Jonesborough woman died from injuries she suffered in a two-car crash Thursday night and four children remained hospitalized on Friday.

Washington Sheriff Ed Graybeal said Friday the crash in the 600 block of Conklin Road took the life of Shirra N. Branum, 37, 313 Rambling Road, Jonesborough. She was the driver of a 2001 X-Terra.

The crash also injured her 9-year-old son, who was admitted to the Johnson City Medical Center.

The crash happened just before 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

The second vehicle’s driver, Alan J. Mogollon-Anaya, was also injured and was listed in stable condition. His three children, who were passengers in his 2002 Ford F-150, remained in the ICU on Friday.

Graybeal said the investigation was continuing.
