Staff Reports • Apr 17, 2014 at 2:30 PM

A police report from the Johnson City Police Department says a Murfreesboro man is accused of joining two other men in forcing themselves into a victim’s home, threatening the victim and ransacking her belongings Tuesday morning.

However the man, De Shawn E. Holt, 21, of 718 Minor St., Murfreesboro, says he was only the look-out man.

The report says the victim refused entry into her apartment at 128 Fairridge Road to Holt and the others, but one of the suspects forced themselves through the doorway. She said one suspect began ransacking the house while the two others pushed her to the floor, saying they had a gun and would kill her. The victim said one of the suspects grabbed her child by the arm and took it out of the room.

She said they took her phone, computer, television, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, money, shoes, electronics, jewelry and a Louise Vuitton purse to their vehicle and left.

An investigation led police to the residence at 307 Wilson Ave., where a search warrant was executed and stolen items were located.

Police said Holt was at the residence and admitted being involved in the burglary, saying he watched for cars as the others were inside the house.

Holt was taken to the Washington County Detention Center, where he was being held on $50,000 bond. His arraignment is set for today at 9 a.m. in Sessions Court.
