Greeneville man arrested on gun, drug charges

Police said they arrested a Greeneville man Wednesday on multiple charges following an investigation.

According to a Johnson City Police Department news release, 41-year-old Ronnie Shelton, of 35 Parmer Road, Greeneville, was arrested after an investigation was conducted by the JCPD’s Special Investigation Squad at 2 Orr Court.

Shelton was charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, possession of an analogue substance for resale, simple possession of schedule II narcotics and unlawful drug paraphernalia.

He was brought to the Washington County Detention Center where he was being held on $22,000 bond and has an arraignment scheduled for 1:45 p.m. today in Sessions Court.
