Andrew J. Quillen, 21, 240 Hunt Road, is charged with domestic aggravated assault, assault on a viable fetus and violation of probation.
The incident happened Feb. 4 at a Gray Station Road apartment, WCSO Chief Operating Officer Leighta Laitinen said.
A report said Deputy Michael Gardner responded to the assault around 10:30 a.m. Feb. 4 where the victim said Quillen hit her in the chest and abdomen.
The woman, Laitinen said, is 11 weeks pregnant.
“The victim stated she and (Quillen) got into a verbal argument, and she told him to leave,” Laitinen said.
Quillen apparently put his belongings into his vehicle, but then forced his way into the woman’s apartment and pushed her against a wall.
“The victim was punched in the chest and stomach area and choked,” Laitinen said. The woman was later treated at Franklin Woods Community Hospital, but Laitinen had no information about her condition or injuries.
The woman tried to call 911, but Quillen grabbed her phone and threw it against a wall, the report said. She was able to get away from Quillen and run to a neighbor’s apartment to call 911.
Quillen remains jailed on $52,000 bond. He has a hearing scheduled for Tuesday in Washington County Sessions Court.
