Elizabethton man faces drug charges, indecent exposure charge

A call to police regarding suspected drug activity resulted in the arrest of a 28-year-old Elizabethton man Wednesday on charges ranging from indecent exposure to possession of drugs for resale.

According to Elizabethton police, officers were called to the 1000 block of North Sycamore Street around 2:20 p.m. regarding a man in gold car who was suspected of being involved in drug activity.

Officers found Brandon Lunceford, 272 Long Hollow Road, Elizabethton, inside a four-door Honda in that area. According to reports, Lunceford was sitting in the driver's seat masturbating while watching a video on his cell phone when police arrived.

While searching Lunceford's vehicle, authorities discovered approximately 10 grams of what was believed to be marijuana divided into small packages. They also found assorted drug paraphernalia, according to the report.

Lunceford was charged with indecent exposure, possession of schedule VI drugs for resale and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also served an outstanding warrant for violation of probation out of Carter County Criminal Court.

Lunceford was being held in the Carter County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Carter County Sessions Court on March 4.
