ELIZABETHTON — A response to a complaint about a man in the left lane of traffic on Broad Street led to an arrest on drug charges Tuesday.

Roger Hardin, 61, 1551 Broad St., was arrested by Deputy Billy Harrell on three counts of possession of schedule III drugs for resale and three counts of possession of schedule II drugs for resale. He was also charged with driving on a revoked license.

When Harrell responded, he said he recognized Hardin and knew he did not have a license. A check of Hardin’s license revealed it was revoked for DUI on Aug. 12, 2007.

While conducting an inventory of the vehicle to be seized, Harrell said he found a clear plastic bag in the floorboard of the driver’s seat. Harrell said he found several types of pills and pill bottles without a name on them.

Harrell identified the pills as 27 hydromorphone pills, 15 oxycodone pills, 8 morphine pills, 88 hydrocodone pills, and 8 Suboxone pills.

Hardin is scheduled to answer the charges in Sessions Court on March 3.
