Police arrested a Johnson City man Thursday following a three-month investigation into stolen jewelry and cash.

According to reports, officers first responded to the theft of property on Oct. 13, 2013, at a Johnson City apartment where a woman told authorities she had invited Michael Jason Tolley and two other individuals to her apartment.

After they left, though, the woman noticed some of her jewelry and cash had apparently left with them.

An investigation revealed Tolley, 35, 914 West View Circle, was the one who stole the items. He was arrested Thursday and charged with theft over $1,000.
