MOUNTAIN CITY — A loaded logging truck stolen from the Roan Creek community of Johnson County was found in a remote area about 10 miles from where it was taken, the Johnson County Sheriff's Office reported Friday.

No arrests had been made, and the investigation was continuing.

On Thursday, Sheriff Mike Reece said the 1977 Ford Log Truck equipped with a “knuckle boom” and loaded with logs was stolen on New Year's Day. A reward was offered for information leading to the location of the equipment, as well as arrests.

Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Tricia Morefield said Friday all things stolen were recovered intact.
