ELIZABETHTON — A man who was indicted on methamphetamine charges by a Carter County grand jury in September was arrested on New Years Eve on Swimming Pool Road in Hampton.

Jody Charles Guy, 43, 3339 Gap Creek Road, was arrested by Carter County Sheriff's Deputy David Munsey on 13 counts of promotion of methamphetamine manufacture and two counts of attempted promotion of methamphetamine manufacture.

The charges stem from alleged purchases or attempted purchases of methamphetamine precursors from area pharmacies between Dec. 18, 2012, and Aug. 5, 2013.

Guy will answer the charges during the next session of Criminal Court. He is being held in the Carter County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bond.
