A Johnson City man rammed his pickup into a sport utility vehicle with three people in it early Friday morning near a donut shop after a drug deal went bad, police said.
Bobby L. Porter, 37, 3614 N. Roan St., was arrested about 1:30 a.m. after the incident ended with the crash on West Market Street near the Krispy Kreme donut shop.
Police said Porter rammed his Chevrolet S10 pickup truck into the rear of a Ford Explorer with three occupants, but no one was injured.
A victim told police Porter got mad after a drug deal went wrong. He tried to exchange prescription pills for cocaine with one of the other victims, then chased them several miles in the pickup before the crash.
Porter was charged with three counts of aggravated assault by motor vehicle and driving on a revoked driver’s license.
He was jailed in the Washington County Detention Center on $10,000 bond and arraigned Friday in Sessions Court.
